The past German masters left their own unique mark on Zagorje ob Savi – that is also where the name of our house derives from. Bergmannhaus is a word coined from the German words for a miner (Bergmann) and a house (Haus). Holiday house Bergmannhaus*** is located at the edges of the communal area called Okrogarjeva kolonija – a settlement built for miners and their families. A walk through the area reveals a lot about the simplicity of those days and a tightly-knit community that used to live there. Two of the reminders of those times are also a common washing room and an oven for baking bread in each row of the communal area. And the memory of our mining history is further evident from the name of our local community: Rudnik – Toplice (Mine – Spa).
Today, Bergmannhaus*** offers all the comfort of one’s home. Three bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people – or even 8 by adding additional beds. The house includes a bathroom with a washing machine and a toilet for guests. Fully equipped kitchen includes a fan-favourite wood-fuelled oven, where you can make your own tasty pizzas. A homey dining room continues into a comfortable living room with its own exit to the garden.
