Iskranjca

By the bridge over Sava we turn left to a cart track leading above the rail road in direction of Trbovlje. After approximately 20 minutes, we arrive to Zrimšek homestead, where we take the left path that leads us past two other outbuildings. After taking a few more steps we arrive to a viewpoint (rock) that rises exactly above the rail road and offers breath-taking views of the Sava river.

Opposite to the rock, there is a board with the writing KRAJ. From the board, we follow the marked path, but we still need to remain cautious as orientation can get a bit difficult at times. After approximately 30 minutes of not-to-steep ascent, we reach the ridge, where we turn left at a larger boulder and arrive at the most difficult part of the path. Due to numerous fallen trees, orientation here can be tricky. That is why we must follow as straight a line as possible, and after approximately 10–15 minutes, we move over the edge to a meadow. At the right, there is a hunting tower, while we continue left, along a well seen path that gently ascends towards the top of Iskranjca. From the top, the path goes along the rocky ridge until it gets to a viewpoint. From here on, the path starts descending. After a few minutes of descend, we follow a forest cart track that brings us to a paved road, at which we turn left and follow it until the Konec village. At the end of the village, among meadows, we continue along the unpaved road to the valley and after approximately 10 minutes, we reach a paved road that takes us until the fishing pond in Zagorje.
