1410 Zagorje ob Savi
Soon after the gas station, the road from Izlake to Zagorje enters the valley called Zelenci, enclosed at its north side by the slope of the Slovak hill. At its foothill by Medija, there are twenty needle-like peaks, an extraordinary group of naturally-formed rocky columns, measuring between three and twenty meters.
The legend about this group of peaks is that there lived a very stingy rich man in Izlake. He selected a rich groom for his bride. At the day of the wedding, they travelled to a nearby temple. The wedding procession stopped at the exit from a particularly narrow part for the bridesmaid and an elder to put food and drinks onto an altar to show their thanks for being able to safely pass the narrow gorge. The stingy rich man was angered by their offering, believing they are throwing away what he so laboriously worked for to get, and so he took the offered gifts from the altar. At that moment, such a devastating storm started that the wedding guests became petrified by fear and remain so even today.
