Trek along the SREČNO path (POT SREČNO) from Laško to Zagorje ob Savi

A themed tourist walking trail SREČNO connects municipalities of Laško, Hrastnik, Trbovlje and Zagorje ob Savi. It is a path of living history, full of devotedness and resilience of our ancestors. The mining legacy that integrates, marks and shapes places through which the 29.7-kilometre long trail leads, designed the identities and courses of development for these places. The name of the trail holds great symbolic significance – “SREČNO” (“MAY GOOD LUCK BE WITH YOU”) was the traditional miner’s greeting, which is still alive throughout all of the four municipalities. The major part of the trail leads through nature, where one can admire the rugged hilly terrain that still holds coal underneath the surface – a fact that forever connected the people living in these areas. The trail also moves past numerous preserved objects and items of technical heritage.

Altogether, the trail runs for 29.7 km, of which 7.7 km are located in the municipality of Laško, 9.3 km in the municipality of Hrastnik, 7.8 km in the municipality of Trbovlje and 4.9 km in the municipality of Zagorje ob Savi.
