Opera and concert singer Ladko Korošec was entertaining the audiences around the world with his acting and his voice. He toured the stages of Europe, Asia, Africa and America. His first role was that of Glavar in Dostal’s operetta Clivia, to which he added more than a hundred other roles – for example, he portrayed Kecal in The Bartered Bride more than four hundred times. He was one of the most sought after bass singers of his time., and he received numerous important awards. Even when famous throughout the world, he still love to sing in his first choir – Loški glas (The Sound of Loke).
He wrote a book on his own life: Na tista lepa pota (Onto those beautiful paths).
His older brothers were also musicians, either amateur or professional – Slavko (1902–1967), Mirko (1905–1977) in Drago (1911–1991), while his brother Vekoslav (1914–1992) was an expert in the field of electrotechnics, and is among those most responsible for electrification of Slovenia.
